New! Light and luxurious horn from TD Tom Davies. The lovely jade green color is from silk layered over the natural horn.
The RetroSpecs-mania starts today at our Jefferson Square location, and continues at The Village at Westlake on Saturday. This is the real deal folks–non-disposable fashion from the heyday of American and European manufacturing.
It’s going to be fun. Snacks, drinks, and vintage eyewear. Could you ask for more? We’ll see you at the trunk show!
Is there anything more glamorous than a vintage pair of tinted glasses? You can be anyone in the right pair of shades. For pilots, we will have authentic, gold-filled aviators from the 1940′s to the 1970′s. For movie-stars, there will be acetate styles from the 1950′s and 1960′s. We’ll even have classic Dior sunnies from the 1970′s for the disco divas out there. Just pick a persona, and we’ll certainly have the RetroSpecs to match!
We can’t wait to see tray after tray of gleaming, lovingly preserved RetroSpecs. The visual delights will include: Gatsby era art deco spectacles, thick Buddy Holly-style rims, cat-eyes, metal and acetate combo frames, and Ray-Ban aviators from the 1940′s to the 1970′s. Our rep is also bringing rare museum pieces, and will be on hand with the back story behind each design. It’s a party folks, drinks and snacks will be served!
Vintage fans take notice–we will be hosting RetroSpecs Trunk Shows on June 14th and 15th. For the uninitiated, RetroSpecs & Co. collects and restores eyeglass frames from the early modern era. There will be hundreds of gold-filled and acetate frames on hand to ogle and admire. It’s your chance to acquire a functional, beautifully crafted piece of history.
